Pretty different! I like the message about being thankful for your hearing -- definitely something that can be taken for granted!
The collision detection seems very accurate -- I noticed that the notes disappear as soon as they touch the black outline of the ear. (Speaking of ear, this is the second body part to feature in one of your games. I think I'm seeing a pattern here.)
The variety of genres is nice and the music selection is ok. The ones I heard were pretty chill and soothing.
Some of the gameplay is a bit confusing. At first I was like, "Why is the volume level going up at the bottom of the screen?" even though it wasn't actually getting louder. And then I figured out that the speaker icon is actually your health meter. I think that needs to be more obvious.
I'm guessing the "levels" don't end until you die and the goal is just to get a high score? I got up to 2000 or 3000 points a few times but quit after that to change genres.
The font style for the Credits was very painful to read.
There are some cool ideas here. It's a good Game Jam game and did a good job of working with the selected theme.
