This is some truly amazing art right here! That and the game is great too, a light auto game where you have to watch your water and health, as you grow plant leaves to overcome your obstacles. The pests aren't so much bugs as they are black squares. I agree that if cubes of dark matter start appearing in your garden, I would also consider it a pest. Some art replacing them of bugs and such would have made it more immersive, compared to the rest of the amazing visual style of the game. I think the idea for the game is solid, make a stem and you can stack it, but only having it be 1 meter wide limits the creativity a bit. If you were able to hold right and make it a leaf platform, that would be pretty interesting, having incentive to collect water and health up high while dodging pest in the air. Depending on your generation start of the game, that's where most of the pest will be, in the air. And you'll have no real reason to go up there when you takes little effort to stay on the ground and collect and your plant stem goes only 1 meter wide. A great artsyle, a good core concept, fantastic game, add more.
