The graphics look kinda eh, and the gameplay is alright. The camera and player movement is kinda wonky though. I don't see how it fits the theme, but otherwise pretty good submission.

Thanks for playing, and I appreciate your honesty! I do agree that the graphics aren't great and there are several improvements I would have made given more time (eg. lighting!). Could you perhaps elaborate on what bothered you the most about the graphics? I would like to improve my technique with more feedback, if you will give it.

I also totally agree with you about the player movement and camera, getting the portal transitions to behave in a player-friendly way was a challenge that I worked on but just didn't quite manage find a good solution to.

Of course the fit of the theme is down to personal interpretation I guess, using portals to create 'shortcuts' through space was the nucleus of my game's idea and it sort of grew from there. From my perspective its a totally valid interpretation of the theme, even if I can see how one could argue that you're extending the arrow's path instead of shortening it, but I liked the concept so I just did it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Having a bit more variety maybe (more lighting, maybe some plants, etc.) Would help the game feel a lot more alive. Or maybe it's a hell themed world to match the samurai character with lava and stuff.
