“intermediate” beta versions are put up on Discord and are eventually replaced when I release a new version with bug fixes.

I can technically re-compile any version all the way back to 9803, but doing so takes about an hour total for first build, so there would need to be a good reason.

I played NT:TE with 9940 and 9941. NTTE was lagging too much. But I heard that there was no lag if I played with 9944 so I tried it myself. It's definitely not lagging, but some of the modes are incompatible, resulting in a small error.(e.g:defpack mod) That's why I asked if I could play 9943 or 9942 without any lag and get compatibility with the mode.

The reason for both performance improvements and compatibility issues is that I migrated NT[T] to GMS2, so you cannot have one without the other. However, pre-9944 versions have an “offline mode” that you can enable via NTT-assemble for some performance improvements
