Onwards, said a grandma in the snow!

Today I've made:

  • Scoring system. Maybe add a High Score in the end.
  • Lifecount and respawning. Next thing is to put a short time of invulnerability at the start.
  • A rapid firing gun and bulletcount. I thought that 100 bullets was too much but it doesn't make the game easy.
  • New enemy (a truck) with a new hitpoint system. It should probably move more to the center of the screen to get the full effect of the bigger firing range. Also something to indicate a hit.

I'm starting to run out of ideas, which might be a good thing. I'm thinking of making one more enemy and the boss, one weapon and a shield, then it's some sounds and maybe music. Menu screen and a Game Over screen shouldn't take long.

Friend showed me a video about 'Juicing' a video game. That gave me some ideas to implement, but those should be left at the end.

Looks awesome so far, that UI is really classic! Another great video on "Juicing" your game is "The Art of Screenshake," with Jan Willem Nijman, he goes through the game step by step, there's some great stuff in there!
