I like the idea but, I didn't really get immersed into it. Maybe I'm being too critical because of what I expected but this doesn't really sound like the 80's to me, nor does it sound like some futuristic post-apocalyptic hellscape. I just think that the "vibe" is a little bit off.
Also musically speaking, I did enjoy some of it, but overall, I think it's targeting a very specific kind of audience, who's really into metal and would be able to appreciate the details more in-depth. Of course, there's nothing wrong with that if that's what you were going for but if this is about a tournament for becoming a rock god, there's so many styles you could use and showcase here.
Perhaps Pereira plays more like Jimi Hendrix or Eric Clapton, while the Cyberdemon plays drop tuned death metal or absolutely shreds like Steve Vai does.
I don't wanna seem overly negative because it really is a fine game and I know first hand how difficult is to make a rhythm game and write heavy metal, but I also feel like this game could be so much more, and it could be a wonderful thing to experience if it were to become a full release.
