Beautiful art, and it must have its target audience, among music & "only you can restore the world balance" lovers :) This rhythm - game genre is again a "new" invention, I hardly heard about, but seems, more & more diverse styles appear.
Super cool! I wish I wouldn't suck at rhythm games! XD
Great game! Beautiful art!
This is pretty awesome!! The character designs are cool! I'm a big fan of rhythm games, well done!!
Really neat to see a rhythm game made in GameMaker with this level of functionality. In the game the skulls were at the bottom of the play area instead of at the top, like in the screenshots. There was also no feedback to let the player know how accurately they're hitting notes. If you're going to develop this further, I'd recommend prioritizing some sort of player feedback - whether that means a fancy particle effect or the usual perfect/good/miss/etc. indicators.
The first rhythm game I played in general and I never lost, and I passed. Is the game so easy and the opponents give in? And the adversary often got the inscription “Good”, but I never did. I don't understand this genre at all, but I liked it. Looks nice, plays well.
Good luck in development =)
Oi, eu sou o gogu
nice game bro, like guitar hero smith neon
This was really cool! I loved the rhythm battle gameplay, plus the aesthetics were awesome. I do kinda wish it was clearer on when to hit notes - just the line on the bottom was a little hard for me to time right, it might be easier if it was set up like guitar hero with those skull notes at the bottom of the screen.
Great work!
I like the idea but, I didn't really get immersed into it. Maybe I'm being too critical because of what I expected but this doesn't really sound like the 80's to me, nor does it sound like some futuristic post-apocalyptic hellscape. I just think that the "vibe" is a little bit off.
Also musically speaking, I did enjoy some of it, but overall, I think it's targeting a very specific kind of audience, who's really into metal and would be able to appreciate the details more in-depth. Of course, there's nothing wrong with that if that's what you were going for but if this is about a tournament for becoming a rock god, there's so many styles you could use and showcase here.
Perhaps Pereira plays more like Jimi Hendrix or Eric Clapton, while the Cyberdemon plays drop tuned death metal or absolutely shreds like Steve Vai does.
I don't wanna seem overly negative because it really is a fine game and I know first hand how difficult is to make a rhythm game and write heavy metal, but I also feel like this game could be so much more, and it could be a wonderful thing to experience if it were to become a full release.
Really amazing rhythm game, the visuals look great, and the music is really good too, i like the design of the two characters.
It would be good to have a "Win screen" after defeating the neon demon, cause i only got he saying "Beginner's luck" and that's it, i got locked in the room and nothing else happened.
Thanks! When you beat a enemy the door behind them opens and you can go to the next one
