you should be friendly and don't implement new mechanics. Only major bug fixes. A game jam is an experience to learn art and programming, it's not only about competition.
i like this attitude and agree with that, but for someone it might be only a competition. But the main question was how to fix bug xD. I got one in my game that сrashes it.
