thanks for the feedback, I guess you didn't like the late-jump mechanic, where the player hovers a bit until he falls. I noticed the "bug" with space late aswell. It's just default behaviour if you use buttons in godot. if you never open the settings the bug does not appear though.. space is the default key to activate the last active button in godot.. kinda annoying.
I improved the jumping mechanic and fixed a lot of bugs (including the one you mentioned in an improved version.
If you want, you can play the improved version already (it's linked on the itch page, or you can click here) but don't base your review on it ^^'
