Ugly surroundings are caused by dirty dishes, broken objects and raw drywall.

You can remove walls with the remove tool. If you hold your mouse and drag, but only drag along one axis, a line will be drawn with the tool instead. If the line is over where a wall’s base is, the wall is removed.

There is currently in an issue where, if you don’t have enough money to buy a theoretical copy of an item you’re trying to move, the item cannot be placed back down. This issue is already fixed in development.

Thanks for reporting these issues, and let me know if you find out what the ugly surroundings are caused by! If you have none of the things I mentioned, it might be a bug after all.

yea even when i just made the house, it still says ugly surroundings. Even when I have wallpaper and everything is tidy, it still says ugly surroundings. I tried to do anything, make the house smaller, use different wallpaper, I even just didn't put anything BUT wallpaper and it still said ugly surroundings. I've tried the whole wall thing many times and it's super selective. Most times it ends up deleting other parts of the building. I appreciate the reply, and the game is good. Of course, it's reasonable to expect bugs or issues while its still in development. I'm excited to see the development and see the game blossom.

Sadly, I’m unable to reproduce any of the issues you described. If you’re invested in getting them fixed, it would be great if you could record a video showcasing the issues. Obviously, it doesn’t have to have any sound, it just needs to show the issues briefly, especially the wall destruction problems. Thanks!
