The game jam nature of this is pretty apparent because of its small scale, but the fun characters and nice aesthetics went a long way toward making this worth the time spent playing.
Great great original graphics, and the sprites edited from the RTP fit in well while still feeling new.

On some level, I almost wish this story had more time to develop, with more locations and plot points. Things like them being in a band didn't have much to do with things aside from why she was summoned in the first place.
But on the other hand, I'd be just as interested to see what other stories you could tell.

Easily my favorite concept is learning skills through items earned through side quests. Obviously not a huge part of the game because of how small it is, but rewarding players for exploring rather than grinding is how RPGs should be. Whatever you make in the future, I hope that philosophy can find its way into other aspects of the game.

Thank you for the kind words and feedback!
Yeah, I definitely wish that I could have added more scenes of the party (and other characters) interacting with each other--I slacked off a little in the first week of development and ended up doing most of the actual game development (as in, working gameplay and maps out in RPGM and not just making outlines of the story and sketches of the graphical assets) in the latter half, so the game isn't as fleshed out as I would've liked. I said this when I finished my last game as well, but next time I definitely want to make a game with a lot more "meat" on it.
