I enjoyed this one! Concur with a lot of what Drifty said. I like that irrelevant places are locked on the map; too often do I waste time in games going places that have nothing to do with my current goal because it isn't made clear that there's nothing there.
I opted for peace rather than fighting, so I don't share Drifty's concern with the boss battle. I like the fact that there is an option that doesn't involve the murderhobo approach. And yeah, the skillset was sufficient to feel like a decent battle system without being overwhelming or feeling too bare-bones.
The art style is really cute too! Evokes memories of playing Terranigma.
I'll definitely be keeping an eye on this one for future updates.
