I liked the Oregon Trail aspects with the choices and immediate results. I was sad that the demo ended just as I was about to head out into the world! The art assets and music were also very well chosen and fit nicely together. I eagerly look forward to more.

Suggestion: I would love some more of those choices that affected the game world!

So, ran through this game. Your names might want to have some sanitization so that people don't do crazy things like my /V[1] their name.

I assume you used some form of automatic wrapping. The wrapper is too wide so it cuts off some words.

During the hallway walk, you can block the characters and they just stop moving.

After the area is altered, while in that first map, the tower has a minor layering issue.

Seems really odd that they would put grass (usually flammable) right next to lava.

Some areas have weird passability.

Very short, I finished it in about 14-15 minutes without really rushing things.

One of the exits says to talk to Masa even after talking to Masa?

The adventure game style is kind of a nice change and it seems like all the battles are events.

I enjoyed this one! Concur with a lot of what Drifty said. I like that irrelevant places are locked on the map; too often do I waste time in games going places that have nothing to do with my current goal because it isn't made clear that there's nothing there.

I opted for peace rather than fighting, so I don't share Drifty's concern with the boss battle. I like the fact that there is an option that doesn't involve the murderhobo approach. And yeah, the skillset was sufficient to feel like a decent battle system without being overwhelming or feeling too bare-bones.

The art style is really cute too! Evokes memories of playing Terranigma.

I'll definitely be keeping an eye on this one for future updates.

The title screen music sounds a little Minecrafty. I like that the audio options lets you pick your cursor, confirm and cancel sound effects. Not sure why anyone would pick some of the options given here, but at least we have several options. I recommend sound options #4. The game lets you pick the font of several fonts and generally provides plenty of options, thumbs up for that.

The game has a bit of 'choose your own adventure' elements. The maps are decent and I like how places are cut off when there's nothing of importance there, which saves some time. The characters are given just the right amount of skills, not too many that would cause analysis overload, but not too few as to feel unfinished. Good job!

I felt a lack of facesets and in much of the dialog it would have been nice to have them. The Lich boss should be resistant or immune to paralyze, it was no challenge what-so-ever when the round one paralyze landed and he was immediately dispatched.  Some dialog options are cut off in certain show choices. (The lady with a broom).

The writing is pretty decent, the story makes sense and the game never feels too wordy. I am a fan of early game railroading to get the player where they need to be before opening up to more things. The battles were balanced if a little easy, but it was appropriate for a game jam for sure.

All in all this game is a short and sweet adventure role playing game and I really enjoyed it. Great job J.L. Steelstorm.
