Hello demonchild, it is with a heavy heart that I inform you that we are, indeed, upgrading to 7.4.5 for this build.
This is something I've been postponing for a long while because when 7.4.0 came out it was unstable as fuck and broke a lot of stuff in the game. I figured, well, we can stick to 7.3.5 I guess. But now that we're doing QA for the new builds, we bumped into a pretty big issue: we have to update in order to build the Android APK. So... if we have to choose between not having an Android version, or having the PC version not be compatible with Windows XP, we're going to go for the latter.
HOWEVER, 7.4.5 is more stable, and the only thing I've had to fix so far are some of the character sprites (renpy used to not check for the filename of subsprites that were immediately going to not be shown in layeredimages, now it does, but the fix for this is compatible with older versions) and the credits screen is broken, but that's about it, I was expecting it to be a giant mess.
Considering how little changes we've had to do to the game to accomodate for this, it wouldn't be a huge hassle for us to get 7.3.5 on the side an see if we can make a build for older machines. Can't promise it won't have a bug or two because we really can't spend a lot of time debugging a legacy version, but if you absolutely can't upgrade your PC or play the android version we'll try to make it work.
