The hitbox is on the broomstick. The white trail + the stick are included in the hitbox, in fact, it’s a bit bigger than that.

The reason she can’t move when she’s attacking is because I wanted the player to have to carefully think before they attack/move. Originally, this restriction didn’t exist, and I just found myself spamming the attack key and running around the bed like a maniac, so it was wayyyy too easy.

I also tried adding an attack cool down timer, but it felt a bit limiting compared to actually making it two different moves was what felt the best as a compromise, and since I only had 4 days to make the whole thing, it was all I could do!
