Thought as much haha

I mean I'm trying to grab the raw video files (where both eyes are next to one another) and I did manage to get the .ts files for them, just encrypted sadly.

Could you perhaps explain the decryption process so I can manually attempt to decrypt them? if not that's fine and I'll just wait till VR is properly supported, but if I can try manually doing it so much the better ;)

Hi there,

Unfortunately, if you have video files you grabbed in the past, you likely can't decrypt them since the keys for your stream are long gone, discarded, or changed. Likewise, it probably isn't practical for me to spend time to explain how some of this works. Unless your a software developer it won't do you any good, and if you are a software developer (of sufficient skill/knowlege) you'd already know the general process anyway. (^_^);

I was excited to find this app and I just paid for  it...only to read here that it doesn't download VR videos from R18. Can I suggest that you make this clear on the info on your sales pages? The only reason I bought it was to try to download VR videos from R18. Thanks.

Hi there,

My appologies. I'm sorry for any confusion this might have caused you. If you like, feel free to send a request to Itch.io support and request a refund and I'll happily verify it. I'd offer to do it directly for you, but unfortunately itch.io only allows their support team to process refunds.

In regards to VR support, this feature was just added to the Patreon branch of Jav-It and is currently in the latest test build. If this is something very important for you, perhaps becoming a Patreon subscriber is something you'd be interested in.

No refund required its ok, thanks

Hi again,

Just writing to let you know that VR support was added for R18 to the latest test build of Jav-It. Since Patreon users expressed high value in getting this working, I reverse engineered how it works and added support for it. If this is something very important to you, perhaps you'll consider joining us on Patreon in the future.

Ah ok thats awesome - really appreciate you getting back to me on that. Thanks :)

Will Jav-it work with the new M1 Mac? Thats the kind that I have

Unfortunately there is no real way for me to know, because I don't own a Mac. When I build the project, I cross compile to Darwin (for example), but I am unable to test it since I don't own actual mac hardware. Because 3rd party libraries may also require support, that means it would be difficult to say how it performs unless someone tries it (M1).

Unless your interested in being the first to try (Maybe it works perfectly fine with rosetta 2?), I suggest you stick to Windows or Linux.

Will the vr download feature make it to this version of the app once it's considered stable or will it always be patreon exclusive ?

Hi there,

Development on the itch.io version has been completed as it was only ever designed to be basic cataloging software. The updates it receives are for major security or bug fixes only. In addition, it uses a very outdated backend which makes many operations slower than it's Patreon counterpart. For example, place-shifting titles from R18 takes at least 15min to 30min longer than the Patreon version, due to some of these differences.

If getting the latest features and updates are important to you, I would humbly suggest supporting me on Patreon. In addition to keeping this project alive, Patreon users get access to our private Discord server (Fully uncensored), the latest news, Patreon exclusive software features, and much more! (See "README.txt" for more details).
