This game has a simple intro, cute low res sprites and decent sound design. The song choice is good and I like the menus. The battle system isn't bad, but you need to do one more balancing pass.

The paralyze lasts too long, and the first enemies you fight use a skill called Annoyance. This should be a double attack instead of a triple attack.

The player's spells cost quite a bit of MP however it becomes more in line when you reduce the MP consumptions by 50% later on with the use of an accessory. Without everyone having that item on it feels too expensive.

Make all of the resting points free to use. All the enemies come back after resting, that could be the trade-off. The price tag to not die is incredibly high.

The roundhouse kick move is entirely too weak and should also only cost less. Double it's damage and adjust it's MP cost. How are you expected to win vs three of these paralyzing triple attacking bunnies at the sticks and stones chest? The player is expected to grind a little bit which is fine, but you need the shield, the use of items and some luck to win. It's a tough battle, and it will be GG if a paralyze lands. Maybe make a version of the enemies that don't paralyze for that fight.

The cave birds have a bit too much HP and Excessive flap is overpowered. For an AoE it should deal less damage.(-25% or so)

The shield should give a few more defense points. The defense from the hat may be too high(8), maybe it should give 6?  Feathered Hat also seems like a massive DEF bonus. Maybe drop it by 3 or 4 points?

Thank you for making the poison automatically removed after combat, that was a good choice.

I like the hidden chests. The rock is barely noticeable, but it is. I like the railroading mechanics you use like the shears and coil spring. The map design is done pretty well. Good job!

I like the animations on the sprites and when the fairies toss the counter and bed down. Well done.

This is the game that I've spent the most time with in this game jam(maybe 2 hours?) because even though it's really hard, it's compelling and you see character progression along the way. I had to see the ending and it was a good one. I feel satisfied upon beating it.

Overall, I really enjoyed this game. I think it's a little bit too hard at the beginning, but it gets easier as you play. Keep up the good work, I would like to see more games from you in the future. Thanks for submitting a project to the jam!

Thank you so much for this detailed feedback, Drifty! Really appreciate it :) The fact that you played the game for approximately two hours to see the ending feels very flattering. I was struggling to complete the game as the deadline approached so quite a lot of balancing and proper testing got thrown under the bus. If I had managed my time a bit better I might have been able to spot and correct some of the issues you encountered. I am glad that you enjoyed the game overall :)
