Great work for your first game. The gameplay is silky smooth. I love the risk reward of going in for heals whilst being chased by a horde of blobs. Sound and visuals are lovely.
A suggestion for games like this is to create a mechanic that breaks up the flow of the game, for example a combo meter that when charged can be used to clear the screen. Or power ups that allows me to fire full auto for a short period. That way the core game loop can stay refreshing.
