You know I honestly went into playing that thinking that I wasn't going to like it, but I came out of it incredibly surprised. It's obvious you put your heart and soul into this game jam, and even though it's got a couple of rough edges, it's still a little masterpiece. Keep working, keep grinding, keep learning, and you're gonna make some amazing games someday, Jack.

I got all the way to the very end, defeated Chaota, and saved the village, and you know what? I had fun with it. The characters were charming (though you should probably throw the dialogue through a spell-checker before finalizing the scripts), I like the way that the world started off as green and then slowly became more infected by Chaota. I liked that the boss battle incorporated the main mechanic of gem collecting into the combat loop, and I actually smiled a good bit when it said "Click to shoot", because I knew it was about to get real.

I thought that the music was catchy, though I wish that the loop was a good bit longer so that it didn't sound quite so repetitive. I also think that the enemy hitboxes could've used more work, along with the collision in the scenery and on the player.

One thing that I really have to give you props for is that everything WORKS. A lot of times during jams the hardest part can be turning in  something that is actually functionally complete, with a start, middle, and end, but you delivered on that front beautifully, even delivering a story with an experience made in a week. That's not easy stuff. I can tell that all or most of the art is drawn by you as well, something that is incredibly brave for a small team.

Well done.
