The LoZ vibes are strong and honestly really great to see. Loved bobbing and weaving past the enemies

Loved the artstyle. Theme goes very well with the game's concept!

Would appreciate if you give mine a try: https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-6/rate/1176432

Loved it. I have a few things that bothers me though, the collision tends to stuck and made it hard to pass through the doors. Also, the health bar is too big and it hides some of the gems sometimes, making it really hard to find.

Cute art style, it has a bit of a Zelda vibe to it.

The collisions were sometimes a bit unreliable for me but the concept is interesting.

Well done.  May I suggest adding spacebar as a way to continue the dialogue as an alternative to the mouse since its the interact button.
What did you use to make the music?

Submitted

I would only add a volume or mute option. nice work otherwise

Great stuff, I was a bit confused about what to do exactly, but I see alot of potential with this concept.

Hey Jack! Congrats on finishing the jam!

I liked your core design here. The game and story presented itself like a traditional action/adventure game, but it's actually a puzzle game. I like puzzle games! And stringing the levels together like an old-school adventure game really gave the game a nice feel.

The movement collision felt a bit off, especially when trying to get around enemies. I got stuck and pinned by enemies a few times and had to restart which ended up throwing back a few levels. It would have been nice to have some indicator of which gems opened which doors, too. Also, I nearly gave up on the 1st level with an enemy because the health bar was covering the gem I needed to progress. That happened again in a later level, too.

Great work here, thanks for making this :)

Starting off with some issues first, the music was a bit too loud in my opinion so you could add a volume slider. The menu size can also be reduced a bit (this is just my opinion). In the levels, there are some collision issues.

Still for the most part, the music was actually quite good, the visuals are pretty nice (although would obviously be better with a bit more polish), and the collecting gems and running away from chaos enemies (and eventually shooting them) are quite nice. Overall, the game is genuinely pretty nice!

The game is pretty good but on some levels, the crystals were hidden behind the hearth  UI and hard to see. Dialogue gave the story depth.

Prefectily captured the theme, the puzzels were great . there were some few collision issues but Very enjoyable

Really nice game, good job! :)

This is really good, it meets the theme of chaos perfectly as the more enemies there is the more chaotic it gets to try and reach the gems. One suggestion I have is improve the collisions as sometimes in tight spaces the player struggles to move, also as soon as you touch an enemy if you are against a wall you get stuck unless you defeat the enemy. The dialogue was probably one of the best parts of the game as it gave it so much more story.

Files with extension .app

Actually it's much more easy to play in a browser, so I'd recommend you to create WebGL build (without compression).

I made a webGl it broke so I had to take it down

You know I honestly went into playing that thinking that I wasn't going to like it, but I came out of it incredibly surprised. It's obvious you put your heart and soul into this game jam, and even though it's got a couple of rough edges, it's still a little masterpiece. Keep working, keep grinding, keep learning, and you're gonna make some amazing games someday, Jack.

I got all the way to the very end, defeated Chaota, and saved the village, and you know what? I had fun with it. The characters were charming (though you should probably throw the dialogue through a spell-checker before finalizing the scripts), I like the way that the world started off as green and then slowly became more infected by Chaota. I liked that the boss battle incorporated the main mechanic of gem collecting into the combat loop, and I actually smiled a good bit when it said "Click to shoot", because I knew it was about to get real.

I thought that the music was catchy, though I wish that the loop was a good bit longer so that it didn't sound quite so repetitive. I also think that the enemy hitboxes could've used more work, along with the collision in the scenery and on the player.

One thing that I really have to give you props for is that everything WORKS. A lot of times during jams the hardest part can be turning in  something that is actually functionally complete, with a start, middle, and end, but you delivered on that front beautifully, even delivering a story with an experience made in a week. That's not easy stuff. I can tell that all or most of the art is drawn by you as well, something that is incredibly brave for a small team.

Well done.
