Yeah, the player's hitbox is actually very extremely small, which might not be super clear to people not familiar with the genre. Her hitbox is actually contained within the little pink square in the middle of her body. The thin bullets hitboxes are offset forward, and everything's hitbox is slightly smaller than it would seem.
