The player attack is incredibly overpowered. Constantly being able to bomb at no cost is just ridiculous. It made the game feel more like a arrkey typing test than  a bullet hell. Which is a shame, because the attack system itself is actually quite interesting, forcing the player to dance around an enemy to hit them.

It's well-made, the assets are great. Don't really care for the story / beginning infodump, feel like there should be a better way to work that in. Overall it's a good submission, but the player attack is just too insanely strong and it completely breaks the game.

I would love this game if not for the performance issues (I don't think there's a downloadable version?). Creative use of the osu! editor, that was pretty interesting. Playing for score with infinite lives is one of the ways I was considering w.r.t. making bullet hells more accessible for regular players, and I'm glad to see someone pulled it off successfully.

The mouse disappearing is very, very unfun. Everything else is well-designed. One of the only few games I rated 5 for theme.

Top quality writing. Aside from the tutorial issue, I don't have anything to complain about. Sound and art were good as well, very consistent.

Oh! I'm so sorry, I completely forgot about colorblindness. I'll definitely keep that in mind next time. Thanks for letting me know!

Solid contender for 1st, there aren't really any major flaws for me to nitpick.

Good BGM, solid idea, decent implementation. Pretty enjoyable overall.

Great atmosphere and art, but UI and controls were frustrating to work with.

I probably should've made it clearer in-game, her hitbox is actually only the pink square in the middle of her sprite, so that's probably why.

Yeah, the player's hitbox is actually very extremely small, which might not be super clear to people not familiar with the genre. Her hitbox is actually contained within the little pink square in the middle of her body. The thin bullets hitboxes are offset forward, and everything's hitbox is slightly smaller than it would seem. Thanks for the comment!

Really enjoyed the concept, and it was engaging enough for me to stick around until the end of the game, but it got old pretty fast. Despite the high variance in the gameplay, it never felt impactful enough to play noticeably differently, so it ended up with a samey kind of feel.

Sometimes it's nice to take a step back and understand that games are allowed to be easy, simple fun. I think you really captured the essence of what made those old flash games so enjoyable. Well done.

Game was almost unplayable for me even on lowest settings, unfortunately. Might be the first time I've heard of a jam game being too high quality..

A lot of fun, well-made game overall. Don't have much to say there, great all around.

I am aware the game stops working on reset. You'll have to refresh the page to try again. I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

Incredibly well-made game, and surprisingly difficult and nuanced for a game jam strategy game. My only minor complaints were that the UI lacked sufficient feedback, and that the lack of SFX made the payoff of strategizing underwhelming. Overall, solid contender for the throne.

There actually is an option to run away, but it's tucked away in the settings. I guess that isn't very obvious - thanks for the feedback! I'll keep that in mind in the future.

Haha, yeah, I figured that would be the case for most people. Glad to hear you enjoyed it.

Very relaxing game. Well-written dialogue. Fun gambling. I like gambling.

Could have been a little bit harder, but it was a very enjoyable experience nonetheless.

Yeah, one of the weapons (the dagger?) does 0 damage with a flush.

Definitely would like to see this expanded into a full game.

Short, but satisfying. Challenging, but fair. Great level design. What it lacks in depth it makes up for in spades with execution. This is the best game that I've played from the jam so far.
