I can tell you spent a great deal of time getting the theme, graphics, and concept really solid. And they came out great.
The platformer gameplay was decent, but I found myself lost at times. I wasn't able to get past the spike pit screen. My recommendation is to set aside some time during game jams for user testing. This will help you make sure that players get the experience you wanted them to. I usually start user testing on the 4th or 5th day and it really helps a lot with honing the user experience.
