I don't think so, given that my 10-year-old daughter is signed up and on a team as an artist and no one seems to care :)

Hi there. Really wonderful that your daughter has signed up for the jam, and apologies you haven't had any support. Discord asks that all users be at least 13 years of age as it is illegal for the platform to obtain information from a child under this age. Your daughter is welcome to join the jam but all the communications would need to be facilitated by yourself. We ran a "join a team" session on our discord yesterday and a panel on Tuesday about game jams to help people get started.
