Hi there. Really wonderful that your daughter has signed up for the jam, and apologies you haven't had any support. Discord asks that all users be at least 13 years of age as it is illegal for the platform to obtain information from a child under this age. Your daughter is welcome to join the jam but all the communications would need to be facilitated by yourself. We ran a "join a team" session on our discord yesterday and a panel on Tuesday about game jams to help people get started. If you need any more information then please reach out directly to our Community Manager Tom Bradstreet on Discord :)
A fantastic art style - I especially like the glowing yellow portals that open up. Inserting them on the roof added some really interesting verticality to the game which I didn't expect!
I agree with some of the other comments that the controls were a little difficult to master, however it played smoothly and I got used to it quickly so not too much of a problem!
Would love to see something with this style of lighting again - I especially love the spawning animation.
Devilpineapple put it best - "the Dark Souls of Cable Management". A really challenging game that had me shouting all manner of swear words...but in just the right way. This game was super and fun and incredibly satisfying to complete the levels.
The success of this game was riding on the satisfaction of the *click* when you plug in - and you got it perfect. Well done.
This game really made me chuckle - I LOVE the music in this and would love to hear more along similar lines. Every time I died playing this it was made better by the fantastic death music and the wonderful animation of the body! An interesting concept that with some further tweaking at the tutorial stage could be a real winner.
This felt like a Nintendo DS game in all the right ways!
I absolutely loved this game, what a treat. The art style, sound FX and music really bring this together and make you feel like you're a part of that world.
Playing this made me think...with the growing fast-paced and frenetic gameplay, could you potentially sneak a '30s style detective story in this by "listening in" on certain calls and piecing information together?
