I like the concept of webbing the enemies and then guarding the eggs, but none of my eggs hatched. I was hoping to have a spiderling army to defeat the big knight by the end of the round. Do the eggs hatch only when you advance to the next stage?

You have to lay the eggs by pressing F or Numpad 0 and they hatch after a few seconds.

Webbing the enemies produce cocoons, these will not hatch until a spiderling burrow in it.
