I personally think switching between tools isn't that hard, But I'm confused why you used the left mouse button to interact. I think the controls would be better if you replace the mouse input with the spacebar. I really enjoyed the art and it looks really polished. I think if you add a time limit and watered hairs drop more than one hair you could create an interesting goal!
