This game was silly! Perhaps a little bit too silly, sometimes to the point where I couldn't really tell what was going on.
The platforming felt... floaty. Which is particularly bad for a run-and-gun as it makes dodging shots harder than it should be. I also found myself getting stuck on walls and inside platforms.
There needs to be some kind of hit feedback; the relatively hard to see particle effects for bullet explosions aren't really enough to sell hitting enemies and bosses imo. Some kind of sound-effect or the boss flashing might help.
That all said, there was clearly a lot of effort that went into this silly mess and what was there seemed to function well enough.
I unfortunately encountered a bug on the cat boss where my player kept respawning somewhere off-screen, leading them to repeatedly die.
