Thank you for the feedback! The graphics depend on a cell shader, something similar to the one shown in this video.
The itch.io page contains instructions for playing the game, but the game jam release is very difficult due to a low amount of books, so you end up freezing very quickly even if you're good at the game and know what you're doing.
