Tbh I was a lil confused about what digging through the dirt was doing for me. It looked kinda like how digging the dirt does on dig-dug, but I couldn't tell if it was helping me at all. The game requires a good bit of strategy to be good at. I'd be interested in seeing what the skill ceiling of this game would look like.

if you mean the brown trail behind the player it's just a sort of bread crumb and visual effect. The map kind of solves the bread crumb problem though.

Once you get outside of the ring och rocks there are a few golden upgrades to be found, like range, pickup range and initiative, letting you kill the crazy frogs. There are a few puzzlew, and the rest is random rooms of varying difficulty and density. I didn't get as far as i hoped with procedural generation.
