I don't know your parents but you know in the vast majority of cases the parents care about you.
They can sometimes do it a little awkwardly because they are only human beings but they want your good. They don't want you to jump in too quickly and forget everything else in ways they may still deem uncertain for your future well-being.
It should not prevent you from having one or more dreams and it should not prevent you from making them come true. However, everything is always a question of balance to achieve this.
I really wish you the best for your channel and for you above all.
One last tip, but you probably already know it. Be VERY VERY careful about who you talk to on the internet. Especially if you are still relatively young. I know I really sound like a boring old man telling you this ^^ But be careful, really.
