Thank you for the feedback, and happy that you liked it overall. I'm also a bit bothered by the tonal inconsistency, and if I was to write it again, I would probably try to dial down the silliness. The thing is, to be completely honest - writing in a jokey tone is just easier, and when you're on a tight deadline, you stick with what you know ;). Hope it still works as a dark comedy!
