First off, good job submitting your project to the jam! It's not easy to make something playable and submit in time so, good job on that end!
Here's my feedback as well regarding the project:
- The visuals and idea look nice.
- When doing a jam game, try to give the player as much info as you can. Also set a clear goal for the game. Bear in mind people playing this are likely playing many other games as well so it'll be easier to get into your game if the instructions are clear.
- Using assets is a VERY good idea, however you used way too many effects/assets which makes the game have fps drops here an there. What matters is the quality of the assets used, not the quantity ;)
- I see this project can have a really wide scope of features like: combat, experience, levels, etc if you develop it further. This is amazing for a game where you have time to develop, but when you're joining a jam with such a short timeframe. Get the simplest idea you can think off, add a couple of things you now you can do, and spend the rest of the time polishing your game. This should give you a better result.
Anyhow, sorry for the wall of text, hope you find the feedback useful, and once again, good job! ;)
