"But that's not fair. For him or for anyone else. You're telling me that just because my brother is sometimes a bit reckless, he doesn't have the right to come of age? He'll already be of age when you have the ball. Either Lunar and I get a coming-of-age ball together or I don't have one at all."
Star stood up, knocking his chair over in the process, hands clenching
"I will not sit here and let you continue to talk about my brother this way! You may not appreciate him, but he is the only person in this family who can bear to so much as look as me. He would make a better ruler than you or I ever could, and I demand that he be treated with the same level of respect that you extend to the other members of the nobility."
“.. You, do not have that power.. Star. You are but a prince, the next ruler of the throne, the only way he would EVER…be treated just like you.. is if I was whipped into exhaustion by his hand, but you and I both know he’s both unable to do so.. and will soon never have that chance.. go to your room.. this.. instant.”
"Hf-"
He blinked back tears, feeling his way out of the room. Phillip could hear his bedroom door slamming shut. And now we go back to Sun.
Sun lugged the washing from outside, where it had dried, to the rooms upstairs. This involved balancing on the steps while carrying a basket of very heavy washing and not falling over. Not the easiest task to perform.
"How'd he take it?" Edin's voice made him pause. Thalia giggled a little.
"Hook, line and sinker." She said and Sun could imagine her cruel little smirk crossing her round face. "I even looked at his stupid pictures to try get him on my side."
"So he doesn't suspect you?" Edin asked. There was a small pause and sun realized he was holding his breath. Still, he didn't dare let it out in case they heard him.
"He's Sun." Thalia said. "He suspects everyone. But I don't think he suspects me as much anymore."
