Deep in the Forest is basically on the backburner until Night and Day is out, but the artist is working on the character sprite and a CG for one of the remaining love interests, so the game will be updated very soon with a couple of scenes, introducing the new character and advancing a bit more of the plot.
As for a release date, I'd say it will definitely be 2022.
