Don't feel bad, you aren't the only one with a failed patch install. WinRAR decided to bug and incorrectly unpack my patch files, and my scripts.rpa file was about 3kb smaller than it should have been. One 24 hour crusade to find the source of the bug I was experiencing later, I finally found it.
