look, this isn't about good representation, it's about horniness. if you don't measure an horror movie by how funny it is, why are you measuring erotica by how verisimilar it is?
alternate options still have to be written, the reader only gets to pick which ones they want to see. you don't get to adopt a dog if that wasn't written. not to mention sometimes it's merely an illusion of choices that all lead to the same point.
