it's all 1s and 0s. kindly grow a spine, and either just bite the bullet or give up on it.

story telling isn't supposed to make you feel like "the good guy". it's supposed to allow people to experience and explore things in a safely manner, and sometimes it tackles on difficult topics, because doing that is what makes you grow as a person. there's no need to modify the route.

nah honey, you have to learn to dissociate. the master is not you, you are not the master. no matter how well they design a character to be a self insert, that's still not you. most people have more personality than a blank slate.

you only have to send him to the valley once. you don't actually take actions to hurt him

A) no you are not, a lot of the player base struggles with that.

B) that's not what that route is truly about.

C) it's well worth going through it, as you learn more things about the lore and one of the characters, and it's a shame that y'all can't stomach to just try it out.

i remember from watching noragami, that gods could do bad things but if humans were to do the exact same thing, the guilt would cause some kind of corruption or something like that. i thought it's an interesting perspective, that gods don't need to abide to the rules and they are not wrong if they don't. but gods require the worship of humans to be able to exist and have power. of course, this is all made up lore, but still an entertaining perspective to look at divinity and morality as a concept.

(1 edit)

they are godly beings. our sense of morality doesn't apply to them.

i mean, it kinda does but also not really. it's like perceiving a 4D or 5D object. it's beyond our comprehension

not unless there's some way to account for the many many many variables

sounds like Ch. 20 is going to be a beast. i wonder how difficult it will be to find all the variations in the text.

that's just what happens when inheriting a business you do not qualify for the trade. but i can't blame the guy, jean marie should have known clement was mentally perturbed, and thus get someone else to pass the deed down.

sure thing, but i remember clement being the master of the hotel for only a week. that was big part of why it shut down all of a sudden. dude was already not right in the head before inheriting the deed

about the ichor thing. it's effectively poison, i just thought it was important to mention what it really is and what it could mean in the context of the lore.

but no, i don't think hermes could have done anything. remember that gods are sometimes influenced by recursion, like when he arrives at the hotel in the main route about to repeat the myth of when he killed argos to rescue io. that's not just him going senile, it's a magical hypnotic state. plus, yes, he went agains t the servants of the other gods, that's the point. he totally would go against athena if he could and wasn't magically bound by the rules of the realm, and the trial that sentenced asterion, with the intention of sentencing many others of poseidon's children. they managed to stop the whole thing with only asterion having to be punished for it. we don't have the last votes yet to know the full story, so there's still a bit of intel we do not yet have about what really happened.

as for the argos thing, it really wasn't the cause of the modern acts of violence against asterion because there weren't modern acts of violence against him. he was a slave and a servant but he wasn't punished by the masters anymore. the little disaster with clement was the only thing, probably caused by athena through some trickery. the only thing bad to happen to asterion in modern times was being locked up in that room we found him for 80 years, feeling miserable for what happened to all the guests of the hotel. remember that we can't ignore the core rules of the labyrinth. what hermes managed to do there was to mitigate damage, but the roles that the labyrinth forces to happen still have to be enacted. even now, as kindly as mc treats asterion, he still is a slave and a servant, not from anything that mc does to him, just from the magic of the realm.

good. sorry if that sounds mean, it just annoys me a bit that so many people are like "i would never hurt my moo", but still want to know what happens. that's not even what the route is about. learn to dissociate if you must, but please get through it. i promise the route is good to read, and is packed with extra lore you don't see in the main route as of yet.

and yet here you are, reading all about it. an they didn't even mention the important lore drops that makes it worth going through

a few things. the end you get isn't based of how any times you send asterion out. there's 2 choices in the ruthless route

so for example, in the choice of 2 options, one gives you endings A, B or C, depending on what you choose on the three options choice, and the other gives you ending D regardless of what you choose the triple choice.

the elixir isn't poison, it's ichor, the blood of immortals. it's toxic for humans, but harmless to gods.

and lastly, what makes you think hermes could do anything? the gods don't have free will the same way we do, plus they are bound by magic to not interfere in the hotel. else we'd be having open war right there. trust that greek gods do not care for familial bonds that much, they beef all the time.

again, there is no "all of them", it's just the tail end section that differs

you childish brainrotted. it's not a bunch of routes though, just 4 chapter protagonizing good boy nikos, and up to 4 outcomes depending on 2 choices you make in the route

at this point they might aswell edit the main page with huge letters saying "still in development. we are working on something. stop asking."

tbf, it's not like wolf was picked to not have hangout scenes. kota and khenbish only got theirs after, themba also doesn't have one yet, and robert, technically doesn't have hangouts, he has a recruitment sequence. granted i imagine wolf will get the short end of the stick in terms of priority. mostly on how do you even write hangout scenes for a non talking animal, while also justifying it over giving development towards the husbandos?

yes, but i figured it would be akin to a polyvalent word. the word itself doesn't mean anything, but the entonations and how you express it in tells you what is the intended message. i know for a fact dogs and cats can recognize certain words the owners use. so you'd think if they had a translatable language, someone would have figured out a dogtionaire by now

the problem with that is, do animals even have language? you can't translate a sound that doesn't really mean anything

i just thought of something else, maybe guitar hero or other music games. i doubt the lyre would be anything like gitar hero but the point is more maybe he'd be interested in something like that if the music was to his liking

just tune in to literally anything else. there's a whole wide world out there that loves to ignore gays.

i don't believe he is uncomfortable with sex. rather he has lived for such a very long time and thus is unphased by it. similar to how there's this presumptuous notion that older people would be mind blown by sexual topics when in actuality they've seen all that and more.

sure, part of the stereotyping may be due to older people being more inclined to be devoted to christianity but asterion would be even further away from that given greek mythology is all sorts of kinky

(1 edit)

i rather enjoyed the ruthless route. just gotta separate yourself from mc. it plays mostly from nikos pov anyway

i mean, they are totally into some kinky stuff, i bet

i don't know. the novel isn't fresh enough in my head for me to come up with headcanons. but i kinda ship themba x robert

i don't think he'd find the title objectionable. he knows he's a scumbag, and that's why i love him.

not sure what you mean. maybe you just didn't gather enough resources for other projects.  the materials requirement for example, requires you to send someone with good surveying in the valley instead. the math background provides a better UI to check out your progress

i don't think so. it sounds to me like doing mental gymnastics to make yourself offended. really i just can't tell how umconfortable he'd be with the graphics. castlevania is in that between spot that could go either way, the enemies just kinda burn out of the screen, but the aesthics are gothic

my point was more towards killing generic minotaurs on castlevania. god of war would be pretty much blasphemeous towards everything he knows. it's a game about killing the whole olympus pantheon

(2 edits)

we kill humans all the time in videogames, i doubt that'd be a problem. i just don't know how sensitive he would be to combat overall. how gory is too gory? castlevania at least has a parallel in that the dracula's castle is kinda like the hotel, being able to appear anywhere and reshape the internal layout, along with having been around across many generations.

oh wow, the valley even spawns monsters to specifically torture asterion. conceptually this could go really wrong, in hitting too close to home, or really great, as in him taking it as having a chance to fight back his traumas in a safe space.

i do think he could be interested in something like gta if at least for the novelty of running around in modern cities. just as long as the violence isn't too graphic

(1 edit)

i just went with puzzles because labyrinths.

but i can see it given the hotel management stuff

i think asterion would be into puzzle games. preferably ones that aren't violent much less gory, given his traumas.

it helps to tell apart different runs you are doing if you assign different colors

y'all just chill. it is bad form when a project goes half a year without new info. a lot of similar projects just drop off dead without saying anything. minotaur hotel, however, has always been long between updates, plus it's not fundable, even for people who wanted to support it.  now, please, don't antagonize eachother. the boss already said they are working on something.

not dead. minoh posted recently

it was never a regular schedule. they release a new build whenever it's ready

to be fair, the vast majority of FVNs tend to be gay porn/ dating sims. personally i treasure having this sort of content around to actually explore sexuality and intimacy. it's really difficult to come across media that has those themes without being far too raunchy and debaucherous. sex could be a much richer experience, but sometimes it seems like everyone is way too afraid to talk about it.
