not sure what you mean. maybe you just didn't gather enough resources for other projects.  the materials requirement for example, requires you to send someone with good surveying in the valley instead. the math background provides a better UI to check out your progress

i don't think so. it sounds to me like doing mental gymnastics to make yourself offended. really i just can't tell how umconfortable he'd be with the graphics. castlevania is in that between spot that could go either way, the enemies just kinda burn out of the screen, but the aesthics are gothic

my point was more towards killing generic minotaurs on castlevania. god of war would be pretty much blasphemeous towards everything he knows. it's a game about killing the whole olympus pantheon

we kill humans all the time in videogames, i doubt that'd be a problem. i just don't know how sensitive he would be to combat overall. how gory is too gory? castlevania at least has a parallel in that the dracula's castle is kinda like the hotel, being able to appear anywhere and reshape the internal layout, along with having been around across many generations.

oh wow, the valley even spawns monsters to specifically torture asterion. conceptually this could go really wrong, in hitting too close to home, or really great, as in him taking it as having a chance to fight back his traumas in a safe space.

i do think he could be interested in something like gta if at least for the novelty of running around in modern cities. just as long as the violence isn't too graphic

i just went with puzzles because labyrinths.

but i can see it given the hotel management stuff

i think asterion would be into puzzle games. preferably ones that aren't violent much less gory, given his traumas.

it helps to tell apart different runs you are doing if you assign different colors

y'all just chill. it is bad form when a project goes half a year without new info. a lot of similar projects just drop off dead without saying anything. minotaur hotel, however, has always been long between updates, plus it's not fundable, even for people who wanted to support it.  now, please, don't antagonize eachother. the boss already said they are working on something.

not dead. minoh posted recently

it was never a regular schedule. they release a new build whenever it's ready

to be fair, the vast majority of FVNs tend to be gay porn/ dating sims. personally i treasure having this sort of content around to actually explore sexuality and intimacy. it's really difficult to come across media that has those themes without being far too raunchy and debaucherous. sex could be a much richer experience, but sometimes it seems like everyone is way too afraid to talk about it.

i found out the problem. so inside the roam data folder was another folder named "sync" with a 3rd set of the saves. i have no clue how that happened but now it's solved

i know, but it doesn't really solve it for me. deleting in the game save folder, or the ren'py roam data folder, or hovering over the save while pressing delete on keyboard all have failed. if anything, the devs could look into it, because that's pretty standard QoL on ren'py

the usual stuff with ren'py projects doesn't seem to be working. i prefer to keep only a few saves so that i can keep track of what they are, but made some spare ones for testing options around and i no longer want to keep. being unable to delete them is making it difficult to rearrange things, and now it's confusing me to which are the saves i was actively using

you do realize that's basically like wanting to read the next page without being willing to turn to it. don't get too attached to the choices, the avatar you play in the game is not you. just push past the mental block.

it's a little difficult to come up with inventive neutral resting poses. there are only so many characters you can have their arms crossed by default before it starts looking like you are drawing the same character over and over, just with a different skin.

the labyrinth is still supposed to punish asterion.  you can't just make him the master, it will refuse any contracts that go directly against that.

well, what you said, turn the hotel into an university. classrooms, sports fields, libraries, laboratories, museums, even a hospital. the main challenge would be gattering qualified staff to run everything

A LOT. People just default to english on the internet. The amount of entire conversations i had only to find out the other person was also brazilian after is quite recurring. And that's only counting the ones i've found out.

it is not that bad. the ruthless route has a lot more to offer than just hurt. it's hard enough to persuade people to try it out as is.

well, asterion is sort of undead, and immortal, and can't go outside. drinking blood wine will restore his wounds...

i mostly just don't get the question. as in could he defeat deadpool? because deadpool regen is much more efficient than asterion who needs magic wine to spawn. sure asterion can't exactly die, but he is dead already and bond to the labyrinth realm.

I really take issue with loss of sanity as an explanation for people to fuck. That's not something that just accidentally happens, specially for who is penetrating. It still doesn't explains why he'd end up in Brasil's interior. That's nowhere near Greece, nor some coastal village by the sea. They may be gods, but from what we've seen they are physical beings. I don't think they could just jump from and back to mount olympus to anywhere in the world, other than Hermes.

I get that, i don't remember that part of their statement clearly. It's not like my guess has any solid proof to sustain it. There's not much evidence, other than the fact Oscar clearly has a connection to the sea, to point at how he came to be. Being from a poor family in the middle of nowhere northeast Brasil seems like a very backwards spot for Poseidon to decide to pick and make a new minotaur. Also, why would he even choose to make a new one after what happened to the other? I don't think Poseidon would be frolicking in Brasil's country side as his first pick, unless there was something required that could only be found in Drowned Tapir, or it was purely an accident of fate.

a lot of royal families have illegitimate childs, there could easily be surviving lost branches that were bastardized generations before asterion came to be. wether the bull is necessary for the blood or not, i mean, it is magic stuff, the rules are made up and the characters can be wrong about them. we could never know for certain. it's ariadne btw.

(1 edit)

you'd think it'd be on reverse if it was because of the bull form or human form. oscar is the one with the sheath.

oscar most certainly has the bloodline of poseidon or something. i just don't think poseidon has to be personally involved on his conception. it makes more sense to me that he'd be some lost branch of decendants given the conditions of his upbringing. none of the other mythicals so far were unaware of their kin origins.

there's also the thing with birthing a 7th child. it could be an extra condition for activating the lineage. it'd explain how come there never was a minotaur population. my guess is that you'd have to both be a descendant of poseidon and the 7th sibling.

as i recall, the hades judges mentioned previous members of asterion's family already had bovine origins. it could be a simple case of recessive genes finally manifesting. the weird thing is that asterion and oscar have different junks.

in life he didn't have many chances. he was exiled and died young. in hades, who knows if that's even possible on the afterlife. in the hotel there's a bunch of rules restricting him, unless some particularly nasty master thought of that sort of thing as punishment. probably not, we'd have hints that happened if the story wanted to go there. so i guess there's a decent chance he'd be a virgin, which is the worst punishment of all. be undead for millenia without getting any action is too cruel. can't believe our moo is an incel, maybe.

he is a bit of a memer so he probably spends a lot of time on the internet. it just seems the default is to speak english when talking to a multinational audience. there's been a good number of times i was speaking english with someone over the internet only to find out they were also brazilian, by some cultural/linguistical slip that gave it away.

you send him once in the valley, you are rail roaded to the ruthless route. i don't know what you think is "not true", the ruthless route doesn't start then and there, that's not what i said. but when it's time for the route split, you will be sent down the ruthless route. the time jump i refered to is just how i interpreted the 1st ruthless chapter, seeing as it felt like mc was being abusive for way longer than we see play out.

there were implications of a neutral route but with build 0.5 when the split was first implemented, it simply wasn't there. if you were on the neutral route you would be switched around to the good one. a difference of dialogue is not an indication of a different route. there'd be inumerable routes if we considered each slight variation, and that's simply not useful.

(1 edit)

not a bug, you send him once to the valley, you get in the ruthless route. i presume luke and kota are talking about something that happens in between scenes that we don't actually see. imagine there was a week or two time jump when the ruthless chapter 1 kicks in, by then the mc has gone nuts and i don't believe he can be read as a self insert for the player anymore. argos is the new mc for that route.

there is no neutral route currently. i think it's still planned so that you will be able to play the story without having to date asterion, but that concept was dropped for now.

Pedro was never particularly polite though, it's not his character. He is a cunt as he puts it himself. I love him because he understands he has flaws, and admits to them. Even then, he still tries to do good. He is a very human character.

Also, i was under the impression his hatred for the argoi has to do with identity fraud. Pedro comes from the Argos Panoptes lineage, the thousand-eyes giant. Nikos and his people, have been taking on that name in order to torment Asterion the prisoner. This is done as an allusion to the tale of Io and Panoptes. (Even their scales have eyes like patterns). So that was my interpration as to why Pedro would be inherently displeased with Nikos, he is usurping and sullying his family name.

well for one, it's intentionally ambiguous for poseidon to pass of as clement. the mc has no reference to recognize either of them and would reasonably conclude that was clement who passed the hotel for him once he learned of the story. i forget the exact wording but try and reinterpret his story as someone who lived his younger years in ancient greece and regrets failing to prevent his son from being sentenced to the hotel. keep in mind poseidon is meant to be a bit senile when you meet him. i don't know if asterion would know, clement just kind of rushed everyone out. not sure if he even went through the process of becoming the new master. also he's been stuck to that room you find him for 80 years. he probably was too numb to feel anything.

as for pedro, he is like middle class, that's very different from being so rich you could burn piles of your money and still not have to work a day in life anymore. there's a huge shift on your sense of purpose, when getting money is no longer a motive for you to work and do things.

oh, i don't mean he is poorly characterized. it works for an horror narrative like this. there's just this disconnect from how he responds to things and how i feel from reading. that's normal, disagreeing with the protagonist is something i do a lot. what i really wanted to say is, i now understand just how fearsome virgil really could be and why grey feels so helpless against him.

so, i always thought grey was a bit of a wuss. until last night, i had this nightmare with lanky virgil eating me alive. the only thing i could do was every now and then get a visual novel style choice selection to decide what body part he'd be taking next. it was so terrifying i was second guessing going back to sleep. that's very unusual to me, because i mostly only get mildly annoyed when i'm startled awake due to nightmares.

is this the one? i forget how i got it, but i believe it has to do with the hinterlands expansion. mostly it has to do with the cemetery, it has a number of different ways that can play out in the last day, but it could also be the scene you return to the colonel state after doing the burial task.
