I bought this game back in july. Why do i not have access to the 0.7a version? Did you implement new pricing? (Edit: i paid 5$ back then)

Same. I also got it half off in November 0.6 version for $5 and can't download it without buying again.

Yeah, I did the exact same thing; getting it half off in November, & I don't have 0.7a.

I can download 0.7a from the website, but it's not available in from the Install button and even using the Download link from the Library in the Itch App just falls back to 0.5/0.6.  This might be because I bought it twice, at different prices,  and it's using the initial purchase rather than the latest.

Edit-Actually I just checked the invoice for the latest $10 purchase and it's showing as granting access to the 0.5 files rather than the 0.7 files, so maybe it's just configured wrong ?

The pricing is a bit odd but this is what the dev has said.

The latest version costs $ 10 at the time of release, then after 1-2 weeks the price drops to $ 5. As soon as a new version of the game is released, the previous version of the game drops in price to $ 1, and the other previous version becomes free.

Example:

0.6 at the time of release was $ 10, now it costs $ 5.

0.5 costs $ 1.

0.4 is free.

So if you paid $5 you'll get access to this new version in a couple weeks. It's like a tier thing. You're in the $5 tier so you get the game when it is made $5.

Right. Moreover, we do not mind that those players who have already bought the game for the full price, receive new updates for free. But the ITCH is a little odd. Here, if you bought content for $ 5, you get everything that costs $ 5 or less. But if we raise the price for new players, then the players who purchased the content will also suffer from this. I believe that this is a slightly incorrect policy on the part of ITCH.

It's a weird system the website uses, and it isn't entirely clear. I can understand why folk might be confused. They expect it to be like Steam where when you buy an early access game, even on sale, and you get the current build plus all future builds.

If you bought the game for $ 5, then you get all the products on this page for $ 5. Now the new version costs $ 10 and most likely it is because of this that ITCH does not allow you to download the game. Wait until the game costs $ 5 or cancel your payment and buy the game for $ 10 to receive all the latest updates on the day they are released.

Or maybe you could actually fix this issue so that it matches what was promised to ppl who bought the game for 10 USD.
