this was a really unique piece of self expression, self realization, and self reflection all in one. your use of colors and objects definitely reminds me of etherane's work in a good way, as another comment pointed out, and each room had a unique feeling that i understood reflected the author's own life. the love for art and using it to affirm identity was my favorite. the details on the sprites of scars and swirls was really nice. the sketchiness of the lines reminded me of the mid 2010s in a nostalgic and comforting way.

most of my nitpicks are mostly for game feel as a designer myself. the long string instrument sound when going between parts of the menus/inventory would play with each screen switch and got so annoying that i felt a need to unfortunately turn off the audio for the rest of the game. sometimes, the red of keys would blend into the red of other objects, which is just a placement issue if anything. also, in the art room, once the part of self there leaves, you can walk through the painting in the middle of the room with no collision box. felt a little bad not being able to look at it and instead walked over it. and i would have liked to look/read the photos at the end for longer, but they seemed to skip through a little quickly. the photos are beautiful, by the way. the use of color in them is lovely.

thank you for releasing this and allowing it to be played.

Thank you so much for your long comment :) I'm glad you overall enjoyed the game, and I'm sorry that it is still a little buggy!

don't worry too much about the bugs, it's mostly nitpicky things that don't take away from such a wonderful, stylistic and personal experience!
