I think she was molested by a family member or something like that. The reason she approached Jack in the first place and started talking to him was because she thought he didn't look like the type of guy to use someone. Also, after Grace tells Jack about what happened, Jack asks in exasperation if there's anything they could do about it. If it were a death or something like that he would have offered his condolences, as nothing could possibly be done about that. But him asking if there was anything to be done would be EXACTLY what I would say to someone who was... Well. Yeah...
Anyway. I really liked this VN Andy!!!!!!! Is there another one coming out anytime soon?
