Nice twist on the theme.
I think the shooting could use some more polish. I played on normal dificulty, and for me it was mostly spamming LMB. Probably having an automatic mode would be nice, and maybe "ammo" pickups of some sort so the player would need to avoid the flies instead of shooting them if they run out of ammo.
Cool backgrounds by the way!
