this game looks cool but i physically am unable to play this with keyboard there is no way i can press y to dash while my left hand is pressing shift and x and my left hand is pressing left and right, please put the jump button within reach of either the left or right hand

Thank you for playing this game. During testing, I was able to play through it with this keyboard layout without any problems:

Dash with Y

Shoot with X

Jump with the Spacebar

Left, Right and Duck with the Arrow Keys.

However, I highly recommend playing the game with a gamepad.

it looks cool the game, but i have tried with an xbox controller and i cannot seem to work

Which version did you download? The first version lets you control the game with the XBox360 controller using only the analog stick. The second version of the game lets you control it with the D-pad on the PC. With a generic controller, the game can be controlled by analog stick and D-pad.

Not sure if this would help in any way but in the original cuphead i use the following:

z to jump

x to shoot

c for Ex Move

a for lock

left shift for dash

right shift for switch weapon

and arrow keys to move/aim
