i like the idea of this game a lot, it's hectic and i like the trial and error of every level

however it did start to feel like a bit much, and not know what each thing actually did was kinda rough

good job on this one

If you are talking about the items it's a shame because we designed the first levels as "tutorials" for the player to try out every item in easy and straightforward levels (from level 1 to 5). But if you went through every of these tutorial levels and didn't know which item did what then, i guess we did something wrong... ^^'

i think it was level 4, the one with the red and blue sparkles as the items

i couldn't figure out which should be used at what time, my thinking was that the red was supposed to be used to get me over the rocky section but then the boxes at the end block me :/

if there was some way i could have seen a description of the items i would have had an easier time with it

I understand where you come from, but we figured it would be a bit dull for some players to have such a description, we thought trying to figure out the items would be part of the challenge.

I think what you missed on level 4 is the green bar on the top left corner. This is your stamina. You need this bar full if you want to use the blue sparkle properly. And we did such a thing because we think it would have been too OP otherwise.
