Maybe I just don't get it, but I can't see a decent way through the 2nd wall, it's just too much for me. Otherwise, the start was fairly fun and engaging,. Definitely feels too much like Resource Starve though

You need to farm a decent amount of time speed before attempting the second timewall. The place after the second timewall was also where I planned to start making it deviate more heavily from resource starve but I unfortunately ended up not having enough time to finish it and just kind of set up a few mechanic ideas and rushed an ending using them.
