WE live in a society where harrassing game devs exists. Mate chill for a second, he's just a human. Try making a f4cking game using renpy/pygame and then you shall realise. Making game is no easy task, no matter how skillful/ experienced the dev is. he's gotta code, make sprites, carry on with life and make the story. Don't go around giving a f4ck about everything. Chill for a bit.

On average, a python programmer like him could do 100k$/year easily. If he finds a good company who needs his type of programmers, he could also do more. He also has got to eat, alright. Both ways, the job and this game is a money grab. He's also got to pay taxes, food, perhaps rent, healthcare,entertainment,pc,visual novel packs,etc etc.Just a one man team.
And the game ain't short like your penis, it's kinda big. You may be a patron, but you gotta chill for a bit. Try not to be a dickhead and stop bullying these type of game devs.

Well technically, renpy games are written in python. renpy uses the ".rpy" extensions and python uses the ".py" extension. Renpy was made from pygame (from what I understand), and pygame is a python game engine. This makes renpy a python game engine. True , there are some differences, but the back bone of renpy is just the backbone of python.

It appears you still don't get it. Developing a game like this takes time due to everything that goes into it, and probably the hardest part is writing the story itself. You think Stephen King wrote all of those best selling books in just a few weeks each? Hell, the Dark Tower series took him decades, with a few of the books being written years after the previous book in the series.
Get off your damned high horse and just accept the fact that your demands aren't the center of anybody else's universe. Nobody cares that your feelings are hurt because you aren't getting updates for a damned free game that you likely only play for fap material. Some people actually enjoy the story being told through the game. You want new fap material? Go find another game, I could list a few that have small updates extremely frequently without even having to think about it. Even better, go outside and actually develop a real relationship. Who knows, maybe you'll find yourself someone who enjoys having you treat them like trash like you try to do to people here.
Hey, so hum, this is a game in progress and you knew it, so it was bound to not be finished. I wouldn't say it's short. It's more likelly that you just have lot's of time to play this in one go.
Before chosing to spend your money you can play a good portion of the game and you have the dates in which the updates were released. So you'll know the usual interval of time taken to have an update. Nothing is hidden, and you're not being taken advantage. This is you being a little paranoid. If you suspect a creator has abandoned the game, just look for the latest interaction with the players.
