So the whole true ending thing in the patreon post has me wondering a bit. Namely if it'll be in it's own separate timeline or will every route inevitably lead to it.

I guess I'm just curious if we'll get character endings where Dave gets that happy ending with the route partner now. Or if it will even matter if 5/6 always have the lingering smell of "it doesn't work out" hanging over them.

And I get the game has never been a dating sim with the mystery being the true focus. Just... idk, it'll be sad if the romance parts are meaningless to care about outside one route.

I think the whole timeline thing is literally just referencing save files…because to Dave, not knowing how he remembers passwords but still getting them is just us, the player being Dave in different saves files with knowledge from a different one.

Also we’ll just hafta see, but Dave being in a relationship or not isn’t exactly mandatory when it comes to getting of the mountain in the end…routes in this game (and pretty much everywhere) are kinda there for perspective building, but there’s always an overall story to tell :)

Probably safe to say Roswell and Sal aren't cannon boyfriends judging from what grizz said about the sequel. If they where then dave would probably guaranteed to pop up but with even a dave cameo being a maybe i think probably not.

I'm making an active effort to leave the hyena with his happy end come the end of Password, regardless of who the intended boyfriend is. So if it is Sal or Roswell, know the story I want to tell with the sequel is a lot less focused on romantic relationships and dealing with the fact the police are kinda garbage in-universe currently.
