I have mixed feeling about this game. It's impressing to be done in such a short timeframe to say the least. But it therefore shows a big lack of polish.

The game is grey and relatively colorless, which might be intented. To me it feels rather liveless, compounded by the lack of any interesting animations. The background is great in that aspect: it's interesting and feels alive. A lot more of that would be great.

The gameplay is also samey, but controls great enough. It's hampered by the animation, since they feel a bit disconnected. I really liked the inital gimmick of using full-darkness to hide and imo should be expanded

The music is well made and fits with the theme of the game. It really needs to be a bit louder.

Reading it being the first part of an series, I'm anticipating the improvement from the next parts, cause the lack of polish is the main fall of this game :>

When you say that it lacks animations do you mean like an animation for activating the darkness or something? Or maybe a more expressive running animation? Because otherwise, all the characters are fully animated.

Also, yes of course the gray lifelessness was intentional because its the chaotic void that predates all life.
