I've never played the classic this is modeled after, but it was quite engaging! I'm a sucker for punishing games 😅 The start menu and all the options was really well put together.
I really liked the amount of hang time on the jumps and how it let you plan moves to jump multiple enemies or get around corners. Also kudos for the controller controls. I always prefer a controller when possible, so it was great to see.
The footstep sound effect got a little grating, but I otherwise dug the aesthetic! Great stuff!
