Any chance of an update to support the Famicom and the matching N8 Pro

Unfortunately I do not have a Famicom or Famicom N8 Pro to test with, but I am definitely willing to give it a try.  Do you have a Famicom with a Famicom N8 Pro?  If so, have you tried SynthNes on that setup?

tried it on my imported sharp twin, the pc software would not recognize that it was hooked up

Hm, looking through the code I don't see any reason why this wouldn't work on a Famicom, but I'll definitely keep looking. In the meantime, have you tried a different USB cable and a different USB port on your computer?

I had pulled a bad cord out of my pile, the rom now loads. however the moment I try to send a single note to the console the pc software crashes. it does play the start up jingle and load the graphics. It is odd for there to be a problem as the only practical difference in hardware between the twin and the nes is the fact that the twin uses an earlier ppu revision "RP2C02E-0" which has a bug where OAMDATA and palette RAM are not readable.

Do you get an error dialog like this?

If so, can you click the details button, copy the text, and then paste the output in a comment here?  Thank you for being patient by the way.

That is the odd thing the program just closes no error or anything

What are you using to trigger the note? An external MIDI keyboard or the internal virtual keyboard? If using an external keyboard, try using the internal keyboard and make sure the octave setting is set to the default.

This seems like an awesome project.  I have the same issue as davidv2002.  Top-loader NES w/ NESRGB and borti's NESIGR mod installed, Everdrive N8 Pro with the most recent revision of the N8 Pro firmware (it was updated a few weeks ago) connected via USB to my PC.   The ROM loads, but the moment I press a button on the app's internal keyboard, the app crashes without any error message.   When I try to run the app again, I get an error message, "Cannot find ProgramChange.ini" and it refuses to load the app.

One thing that occurs to me is that when I first tried to run the app, it say's I need .NET installed -- I clicked "yes" but then the page it takes me to has numerous download options for .NET -- I picked .NET 5.0 Desktop, but not sure if that was the right choice.

Thank you for the bug report, I think I see what's going on and should have a fix very soon.

The fix (hopefully) has been uploaded.  Please delete your old SynthNes folder and download the new version.

can confirm that it now works on my twin.

Yes.  Crashing stopped and I have audio.  Lots of playing around to do now, thanks!

Hello, does this mean it will work with Fami now and the N8 Pro Fami? It's the only cartridge available to buy at the moment. Thanks.

Hello. Were you able to make it work on a Famicom/N8 Pro Fami? Thanks.
